Banana Bread

This Banana bread is a sweet treat and you should control your consumption. It is however super tasty and so good slightly warmed up with butter on it (I know even more calories added) Seriously though try it and share with family and friends, if it gets that far šŸ˜‰šŸ˜†. I may try a healthier version so watch this space! Give it a try its super easy and in an hour you will have delicious warm banana bread fresh from the oven!

What goes into Banana Bread

- Cinnamon

- Vanilla extract

- Walnuts

- White sugar

- Brown sugar

- Egg

- Butter

- Plain flour

- Bi Carb Soda

- Salt

And of course delicious BANANA’S šŸŒšŸŒšŸŒ

You will need the following tools

- Measuring cup

- Measuring spoons

- Large bowls

- Large spoon

- Baking tin or Loaf pan

- Baking paper

- Aluminium foil

Ingedients

1 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 cup of White sugar

1/2 cup of Brown sugar

1 1/2 cup of Plain flour

1 tsp Bicarbonate Soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup of Walnuts

3-4 Ripe Bananas

1 Egg

1/4 cup of Melted Butter

1 tsp of Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius

  2. Tear off a piece of baking paper to cover your loaf pan

  3. Combine all wet ingredients in one bowl ( Banana, Egg, Butter and vanilla extract) and mash up.

  4. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients

  5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture

  6. Stir all together until just mixed

  7. Pour batter into yoir loaf pan

  8. Gently tap pan on you bench to release any air bubbles

  9. Bake in your preheated oven for 30 minutes remove and cover with aluminium foil for another 30mins

  10. ENJOY!!

Notes

  1. Check your banana bread with a butter knife or skewer. Insert either one and once pulled out check no batter is on it. If it comes out clean your Banana bread is ready!

  2. I have separated the dry from wet ingredients in the Ingredients section I hope this helps.

  3. The aluminium foil is added in the last 30 minutes of cooking to stop the top from burning and drying out.

  4. I used a combination of white and brown simply for taste and caramelisation of the banana bread. You can just use white sugar if that’s only what you have on hand.

  5. The biggest tip I can offer in this Banana bread process is to NOT over mix the batter! Only mix enough to just incorporate the ingredients. This is the best way to a super moist Banana bread.

  6. Add some sugar and walnuts to the top of the Banana bread before baking if desired.
